So, in our last blog installment, we briefly touched on the subject of buying aircraft, specifically buying a LearJet. I hope several of those sites I provided that sell leer jets were useful. On a side note, if you find other sites that may be useful when it comes to purchasing a jet, please write us and let us know. We love to provide our readers with new information. Ok…back on topic. Most individuals or companies that are in the market to buy a LearJet or charter jet are not going to have the discretionary funds to make the purchase outright. Even those that have the money on hand may prefer to invest it elsewhere and use someone else’s money for the jet purchase. This is where aircraft loansand aircraft financing come in to play. Similar to buying a house, buying a leer jet is expensive and will require a considerable amount of money.

During the course of my Internet research on the topic of aircraft loans and aircraft financing I came a across a company called NAFCO. They have a full line of loans and financing programs that will meet almost all aviation financing needs. After a brief perusal of their site, it appears they finance all types of aircraft, and are willing to work with you to meet you specific financing needs.

If you find that leer jet ownership will not work out for you, you can look into fractional ownership, or a charter plane. Charter planes and fractional ownership both provide you with an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of your own private LearJet, without the hassle of aircraft financing or loans and without the enormous out of pocket expense.

Thanks, and have fun flying!

Lear Jet – Models http://leerjetguide.com/2008/07/lear-jet-%e2%80%93-models/ http://leerjetguide.com/2008/07/lear-jet-%e2%80%93-models/#comments Fri, 04 Jul 2008 04:50:40 +0000 admin http://leerjetguide.com/?p=4

As discussed in my previous article, the Lear (or Leer, whichever you prefer) Jet has been around for a long time. The result of this long production run is that there is an extensive product line and number of models dating all the way back to the 1950’s. This site will not undertake to explore all of the historic models of the Lear Jet. If you are interested in the historic type of information I would recommend visiting Wikipedia, as they have a fairly well developed page on this subject. Instead of focusing on the older models, we will explore the current product line and discuss what each of the jets has to offer. A follow-up article to this series will provide you with information on how to rent a jet either through standard jet rental practices or through the use of something called “fractional jet ownership”.

The Bombardier LearJet 40XR is currently one of Bombardier’s best jets. The statistics detailed on the Bombardier LearJet site indicate this jet is capable of flying from San Francisco to Dallas, or from Seattle to Kansas City non-stop. An additional item that makes this model attractive is its availability for fractional jet ownership. The 40XR comes fully equipped with leather seats, a private aft bathroom, and extra room for luggage, air and ground air conditioning, digital telephone with modem port, electrical outlets, warming oven, video monitor, VCR, DVD, CD and cassette stereo, and Airshow 400 Inflight Information System.

This plane will certainly provide a comfortable flight between you destinations. If you elect to participate in a fractional jet ownership program, or just go out and buy a Bombardier LearJet 40XR, please come back and let us know how you like it.

Happy Flying!

Leer Jet – History http://leerjetguide.com/2008/06/leer-jet-%e2%80%93-history/ http://leerjetguide.com/2008/06/leer-jet-%e2%80%93-history/#comments Sat, 28 Jun 2008 15:37:34 +0000 admin http://leerjetguide.com/wordpress/?p=3

LearJets have a long and varied history. From their humble beginnings as a fighter jet prototype, to their widely accepted role as the preferred method of transportation for the wealthy, this jet has seen it all. The leer jet began its run as a Swiss ground attack fighter prototype. After a very short duration it became apparent that the design of the plane was not well suited to the original purpose of providing air combat support.

Eventually the design was purchased by Bill Lear, the tooling plant equipment was relocated to Wichita, Kansas, and the Lear Jet was born. The original LearJet 23 held six to eight passengers, and the product line has continued to grow in complexity and features since that time.

Within the pages of this site we will explore the various models of the LearJet (Leer Jet) , its varied uses, options for ownership and use (such as fractional rental), and a whole host of other topics. Please feel free to add any additional information you may have, as our intent is to make this site as useful as possible.

Happy Flying!
